Morgantown Art Party at a Glance
Morgantown Art Party was originally an idea for a once a month get together of local artists, musicians, and friends. The idea was to meet on a Sunday to spend creative time with others in the art/music community. Basically mixing an Open Mic night with arts and crafts. We've since become a legit 501C3 Non Profit venue, gallery, and artist's workshop! Now we have the perfect space to not only meet up, but to host all sorts of events, workshops, fundraisers, poetry readings, artist's space, rehearsal space, and more!
A Bit About Us
After hearing the concerns and needs from many local artists and musicians, a small group of people came together to figure out how to provide the space and resources that were needed in our town. Morgantown Art Party has come a long way pretty fast. We have built the fun, positive environment we envisioned and continue to do more each day! Thanks to all our hard work and the support from our friends and community we've been able to hold over 3 dozen art shows, concerts, and fundraisers in just our first six months!
What We Do
Morgantown Art Party holds numerous shows, fundraisers, and other events each month, which are made possible by hardworking volunteers and generous donations. We run a very creative, DIY style operation that works with local artists and musicians to bring the community a different kind of gallery/venue. Below are just a few of the many things we do to benefit our community.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!
Morgantown Art Party believes in teamwork. We believe in helping others by working together and finding ways to "MAKE IT HAPPEN". We work with what we have and we figure out creative ways to make things work for us. The Art Party isn't about making money, it's about making a difference. We do what we do because we love it.
If You Build It, They Will Come.
We listened to what people wanted and we took the risks to try and make it all happen. Our hard work paid off and now we're working with so many amazing, talented artists and musicians. Along with other supporters, we've already accomplished more than we thought we would at this point. We still have a long ways to go but we plan to keep building and offering more to our community.
Bringing Community Together
Building a strong community takes effort and we need to work together to find solutions to problems affecting our community. Morgantown Art Party is dedicated to addressing important issues. We work with numerous other non-profits and organizations to help with homelessness, addiction, environmental concerns, animal rescue, and more. It's amazing how art can bring people together!
